A quick step-by-step to bring your custom avatar to life and print it on fun party products.

Step-by-Step Process

Upload Your Photo or Selfie

Upload a clear, well-lit photo of the child’s face (no hats, sunglasses, or group shots) and fill in a couple of details about your child. Use a neutral expression. This helps the AI get accurate facial features.

Choose Style & Theme

Select a style (Pixar, Disney, Comic Book, Minecraft, etc.) and optional theme (princess, forest, space, etc.). Our AI uses that to generate your full-body avatar.

Generate Avatar

We run the image through our AI pipeline, analyze facial features, and produce a stylized avatar. You’ll see a preview to confirm or request a retake.

Select Print Product Bundle

Choose from our carefully curated bundles for a birthday event. We’ll apply your generated avatar and prepare and ship your print products.

Place Order & Production

Once you confirm, we send your order to our print partner. We print, pack, and ship your items and send you the tracking info.

Tips & Best Practices

Lighting: Use even, natural light. Avoid harsh shadows or overexposure. A front-facing, well-lit photo works best.

Pose & Expression: Have the child look straight to the camera, neutral or slight smile. Avoid extreme angles.

Style Limitations: AI styles are artistic interpretations. Colors, hair shapes, or clothing may vary slightly from the photo.

Trigger Retakes: If the generated avatar doesn’t match your vision, you can request re-rendering.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does it take?

Your avatar is typically generated within a minute or two. Then prints take 2–7 business days depending on your location.

Can I use images of any quality?

We recommend at least 512×512 resolution and good lighting. Too low-res or blurry images may reduce quality.

Can I request changes?

After generation of the avatar, you have the option to request a retake before finalizing your order.

What print products do you support?

We currently offer invite cards, stickers, posters, mylar balloons, and napkins. You can choose from our four bundles curated for different party sizes.

What about shipping?

We work with several trusted print providers across the U.S. to fulfill our products. Because different items are printed by different partners, your order may arrive in multiple shipments on different days. Shipping times vary depending on how quickly each partner prepares and ships your products.

What about returns?

Since all SkipBug products are custom-made, returns are limited to cases of print or production defects. If an item arrives damaged or defective, please contact our support team for a prompt resolution or replacement.

How do you handle security and privacy?

We take your privacy very seriously. Your photos and any data are stored securely on an encrypted server and are never shared with anyone else. All uploaded images and related data are automatically deleted after 15 days.
